Laboratory

The laboratory area on the first floor of the Engineering Sciences I building is equipped with machines for wood and metal processing in such a way that formwork as well as mechanical devices for the production and testing of specimens can be manufactured by the students themselves. For more extensive mechanical work, the central workshop of the Department of Civil Engineering, consisting of the metal workshop and the concreting facility in the Engineering III building, is available for shared use.

A 6m² water basin and a walk-in climatic chamber are available for the storage of samples and investigations into the influence of moisture, water and temperature.

For the execution of the tests, the testing machines as well as the clamping field of the Zen­tra­les Ver­suchs­la­bor of the IKI are available.
