Excursion of the Institute of Transportation in the summer semester 2025

During the excursion week (23.06.-27.06.2025) we would like to spend exciting days together with you in Wuppertal, Cologne and Frankfurt! Whether suspension railroad, Rhine bridge or "hopper" - during the excursion you will have the opportunity to deepen different contents of the various disciplines of our institute outside of lecture halls and seminar rooms. The costs are expected to be € 120 per person and include 4 nights in a hostel with breakfast (2x Cologne, 2x Frankfurt), costs incurred on site for individual program items and a joint dinner. We will use the Deutschlandticket for train travel between the cities.

The presentation of the paper entitled Determining the influence of multiple simulation parameters on FCO detection coverage was awarded the Oral Presentation Award at the ^9th International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Engineering (ICITE) of the IEEE.

The paper, titled Predicting the Future Signalization of Traffic-Actuated Signals Using Extreme Gradient Boosting, received the Exceptional Paper Award from the Committee on Traffic Signal Systems at the ^103rd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board.
