"Eine Organisation im Stress" - Tim Seidenschnur & Leonie Buschkamp on the documenta gGmbH at documenta15
In their article, Tim Seidenschnur and Leonie Buschkamp explore the position and role of documenta gGmbH during documenta fifteen from the perspective of organisational sociology. They want to find out what tensions this organisation was exposed to and why it did not find satisfactory answers for the various relevant publics in dealing with anti-Semitism at documenta fifteen. Her contribution is not an evaluation of documenta gGmbH's performance during documenta fifteen. Rather than naming individual actors as responsible for actions, decisions and statements for which the organisation has been criticised, it presents an empirical reconstruction of weak points and areas of tension informed by organisational sociology.
The article is published by Campus Verlag in the book „Kunst im Streit“ edited by Heinz Bude & Meron Mendel. The volume will be presented by Heinz Bude and Meron Mendel at the Fridericianum (Kassel, Germany) on 1 April.
