High Atlas: Global Diversity Foundation

Dr. Emily Caruso  has a PhD in Anthropology (University of Kent) and is Director of Global Diversity Foundation (GDF, Marrakech, Morocco). She supervises GDF’s Mediterranean regional programme. This science-based programme promotes diversified farming systems and biocultural diversity in the High Atlas. It operates in more than 30 mountain villages, fostering close relationships with local communities.

The collaboration focuses on fieldwork in the High Atlas, where access to local actors is provided through GDF’s network of community researchers.
