EnEffUni - Energieeffizienz in zentralasiatischen Hochschulen
Short description
So far, energy efficiency has not been regarded sufficiently in Central Asia and other former Soviet countries. Thus, a high level of energy consumption, low (often subsidized) energy prices and a wasteful use of energy are common characteristics of the region. The main goal of this project is to build research capacities on energy efficiency in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, which is a new field of research for the whole region. Consequently, the project paves the path for a close research cooperation with Germany in the midterm, putting a focus on the support of young scientists.
