Smart Thermal Subgrid - effiziente und erneuerbare Gestaltung von Subnetzen
Short description
The aspects of intelligent (sub-)heat networks are manifold and multi-layered. The formation of sub-networks, also called secondary networks, holds promising potential for the integration of renewable energies and thus for the reduction of primary energy demand. The formation of sub-networks enables reduction of supply temperature and, in particular, economic development of district heating networks in low heat demand density areas.
The mission statement of the "Smart Thermal Subgrid" research project comprises the following four areas:
- grid-serving subgrid connection including customer facilities, the building systems engineering
- efficient heat distribution
reduction of primary energy demand
- intelligent operation and control strategies including customer facilities
