SolarCheck
Short description
The aim of the SolarCheck project is to develop and test a unified method which is able to determine the functionality and actual performance of a solar heating system by means of a single indicator and communicates the outcome in a standardized manner. The proposed FSC based method and indicator offers noticeable advantages compared to usual characteristic quantities like the fractional fossil energy savings or the solar efficiency, since it does not depend on location, collector area or heat demand and thus allows for comparisons of different systems.
