WiSys - Entwicklung eines Drainback-Systemskonzepts für große solarthermische Anlagen
Short description
A future growth of the solar thermal market for multi-family houses and industries has been predicted by several scientific studies. However, high investment costs and long payback periods are the main impediments to the development of the solar thermal market.
The overall purpose of this project is a reduction of investment costs by 40 % for large solar thermal installations. A new system design and innovative construction solutions of the main components are proposed in this project in order to achieve fast, simple and cost-efficient production and installation of solar thermal systems.
A solar heat cheaper than conventional fossil fuel heat supply should be a consequence of this new development. Thus, customers will not only strengthen their environmental image, but also reduce their energy bills and CO2 emissions.
