New offer in the campus library: 3D-Lab
Discover the 3D Lab at Kassel University Library!
Kassel University Library is pleased to announce the opening of its brand new 3D Lab in the campus library at Holländischer Platz. We cordially invite all university members and interested parties to discover and use the exciting possibilities of 3D technology. The 3D Lab is a state-of-the-art laboratory, equipped with the latest 3D printers, scanners and software solutions, which enables a wide range of applications - from the creation of scientific prototypes to creative projects.
What does the 3D Lab offer?
The 3D Lab is more than just a space with technology; it is a place of innovation and creativity. Here, users can:
- 3D print prototypes and spare parts,
- scan and digitally processobjects,
- design and visualizevirtual models.
Whether you are a beginner or already have experience with 3D technologies, our lab offers the resources and support you need to turn your ideas into reality.
How can you use the 3D Lab?
A 3D driving license is required to use the lab, which can be obtained in the "Introduction to the Campus Library 3D Lab" workshop. In this workshop, participants learn everything they need to know to use the equipment and software in the 3D Lab safely and effectively. After successfully completing the workshop and acquiring the 3D driver's license, the 3D Lab can be used during the library's regular opening hours.
The 3D Lab is open to all members of the university as well as the general public. The only requirement is the possession of a library card.
We look forward to your visit to the 3D Lab of the Campus Library!
