Kassel University Library holds more than 2,300 current journals and more than a 150,000 online journals.

Current issues of printed journals are freely accessible on the journal display shelves. Completed, bound volumes are arranged by shelf mark on the respective journal shelves. Please note the exact information in the KARLA catalogue portal. Usually only the latest volumes are freely accessible; older volumes are stored in closed stacks and have to be requested. For further information refer to Closed Stacks Request and Internal Loan Service.

Journals cannot be borrowed.

More and more academic journals are being published as digital full texts - some online, some are published additionally in print. You can access and use the electronic journals via KARLA and via the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
