The climate crisis as a global phenomenon is an effect of societal conditions. Accordingly, the associated negotiation processes should not be limited to academic discourse. Therefore, we involve the public in the discussion about current scientific approaches and results in a participatory way.
In addition to cooperations with the Stadtmuseum Kassel and documenta fifteen, our interdisciplinary lecture series are aimed at a broad audience both within and outside the university sphere. Activities such as an open tour as part of the Campus Festival offer a low-threshold opportunity to bring research topics to the public and to promote a dialogue about direct experiences around the topics of environment, climate change and sustainability.
