How people perceive and describe movements is not just a question of individual observation - the native language also plays a role. In her dissertation "The Representation of Motion Events in English and German" (2024), which she wrote at the University of Kassel, Dr. Katharina Zaychenko investigates how native speakers of English and German process movements differently. Her findings have implications for foreign language learning and language didactics.
