Geodata Archive
The Geodata + GIS portal manages a geodata archive with a volume of > 1TB (as of Jan. 2019). The focus here is on geodata and specialist data for North Hesse. Data is generally provided free of charge for research and teaching at the University of Kassel. If you need it quickly, you should check whether integration via a WMS service fulfills the purpose (see Hessen WMS). The following should be included in a data request:
- A polygon layer with the coverage of the desired area as a shape or GeoPackage in EPSG 25832 or 31467(see link list 1).
- Information on the required geodata, e.g. DOP20, DGM1, etc.(see link list 2).
We are also happy to assist you in obtaining data or ordering geodata that is not in stock (contact by email or telephone).
