Geoinformation systems are software tools for the acquisition, analysis and presentation of spatially precisely located information (geodata). Today, thematic maps for planning and research are generated almost exclusively with the help of GIS. The Geodata portal provides basic skills for planning studies.

Students and studios exhibit their semester works online as portfolio, podcast, tutorial, 3D game engine and much more. The works are linked via a filter system with keywords and a map. The calendar informs about public lectures and presentations.

In front of the Fachwerkhaus (half-timbered house), directly on Gottschalkstraße, is the Fachwerkgarten. It is a public place of learning and a meeting place for all members of the faculty and the University of Kassel.
