Since 01.04.2025, Dr. Sarah Oeste-Reiß has held the professorship for Information Systems (Digital Collaboration) at the Institute of Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering at Kiel University.

Sarah Oeste-Reiß has been a BMBF junior research group leader at the Department of Information Systems and at the Scientific Center for Information Technology Design (ITeG) since 2020. Prior to this, she worked for us as a project manager and postdoc and completed her doctorate at the University of Kassel in 2017 on the topic of "Leveraging the Potentials of Peer Learning - Conceptual Foundations and Reference Processes for Peer Learning". At the same time, she worked as an associate at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of St.Gallen and was involved in various roles in various committees at the University of Kassel, at the ITeG and in the scientific community.

Sarah Oeste-Reiß's research interests include the design, testing and introduction of digital and AI-based forms of collaboration and work in the context of interactive value creation structures and knowledge work, collaboration engineering, hybrid intelligence, socio-technical system design and the associated use of artificial intelligence in areas of digital learning and digital work.
