BAföG representative

In order to receive funding beyond the fourth semester in accordance with the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG), a transcript of records or a certificate of achievement in accordance with § 48 BAföG (Form 5) must be submitted to Studierendenwerk.

• If you have achieved the ECTS points required for your course of study after completing the third or fourth semester, you can prove this with a transcript of records issued by the examination office responsible for you.

• If you have achieved fewer than the required ECTS credits after completing the third or fourth semester, it is generally not possible to certify that you have completed your studies properly.
• If you are of the opinion that there are reasons for a different assessment of your performance status in your case - for example because you have completed partial achievements that are not yet shown with ECTS points in your transcript of records - please contact the BAföG representative for your degree program to obtain a certificate of achievement.

Please note that the Examinations Office and the BAföG officers are not responsible for questions regarding your BAföG funding that do not relate to proof of your performance status. Please contact the Studierendenwerk for such matters.
