We are happy to announce that the three-year research project BONEX - Boosting Nexus Framework Implementation in the Mediterranean has been approved for funding by PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. The project consortium includes scientific and practice partners from Spain, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia and Germany. The project aims to provide practical and adapted tools, enhance policies and governance and facilitate the implementation of Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystems Nexus, aiming to balance social, economic, and ecological trade-offs. The project will be coordinated by Bioazul (Spain). The Section International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance will lead Work Package 1 on the Conceptualization of the Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystems Bridging Framework.
