A: Soil Processes, Environmental Impacts, Modeling

This area of focus is dedicated to analyzing key soil processes and environmental impacts to develop a better understanding of the dynamics in organic agricultural systems and to represent these in modeling approaches:

  • Analysis of soil physical and biological parameters, as well as greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen leaching, and nutrient dynamics
  • Study of functional interactions within the edaphon, particularly the nematode fauna, with a focus on trophic relationships and soil ecology
  • Integration of results into modeling studies to represent nitrogen dynamics, agronomic processes, and greenhouse gas emissions in organic agricultural systems
