B: Economics
The experiment offers the opportunity to examine economic questions in organic farming and identify potential strategies for cost-efficient and practical management. The following aspects could be considered, among others
- Determination of contribution margins at the crop rotation and individual crop level, application of cost-performance calculations, and comparisons at the farm system level
- Stochastic modeling based on Monte Carlo simulations for cost and performance parameters in process comparisons
- Application of a tool at the experimental level and in collaboration with practice and advisory services to determine optimized clover-grass transfer strategies
In the future, these economic analyses are to be developed further and deepened in collaboration with practical farms and advisory institutions.
