Due to the strong focus on inter- and transdisciplinary research approaches, various associated focus areas with their own activities in teaching, research and/or transfer have gradually emerged in our section. In addition to the coordination centre for biodynamic agriculture, there is a qualification unit for organic vegetable production. The eco-model region of North Hesse networks farms with partners in processing and marketing, and the association Ökoplant e.V. links production, processing, marketing and research in organic medicinal plant cultivation. Various aspects of social farming are also comprehensively dealt with.
