An Emerging European Labor Market in Higher Education (EmLHE)

Funded by

the (German) Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Running from

January 2025 - December 2027

The overarching aim of the project ‘An Emerging European Labor Market in Higher Education?’ is to contribute to a better understanding of the dynamics of the integration of national academic labour markets in Europe by analysing the cross-border mobility of doctoral researchers and international appointments to professorships. The project is guided by the assumption that, in addition to national institutional characteristics, disciplinary and organisational factors also shape international mobility - and thus the degree of integration of national academic labour markets.
