People’s life experiences are complex and multi-layered. A person is never just a “woman” or someone “with a disability” or a “lesbian”. The characteristics acknowledged by the term diversity are interwoven and interdependent. Consequently, discrimination is also not one-dimensional, i.e. not based on just one characteristic, but also multi-layered and multidimensional.
