Melina Heinrichs completed her Master's degree in English and American Culture and Business Studies with distinction at the University of Kassel in 2023. Since then, she has been a lecturer in American literary studies there. In her teaching and research, she is particularly interested in the fields of ecocriticism and animal studies. She is currently preparing her dissertation on the apocalyptic tradition in contemporary Anglophone climate change literature, focusing on works by Ian McEwan, Mike Bartlett and Kim Stanley Robinson, among others.
