Information on how to apply for a place on the ‘Promote Your Career’ project
1. German course for beginners with previous knowledge of German (A1.1 with approx. 100 tuition hours at this level)
Target level: A1.2 aligned with level A1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Course contents: This course has been developed for beginners with previous knowledge of the German language and teaches strategies for simple communicative situations in student and daily life. The four skills Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking will be trained. It is mandatory to complete the tasks and exercises on the moodle learning platform.
Course Material: Netzwerk neu A1.2, course and workbook with audios and videos (Klett Verlag), ISBN: 978-3-12-607169-7. The purchase of the course material is mandatory.
Course dates: 30.04.25-25.07.2025, Wednesday 4pm to 7:15pm + Friday, 2pm to 5:15pm (including a 15 minute break), group lessons with teachers.
This course includes two mandatory workshops:
- Saturday, 10.5.25, 9 am - 12 am (Moodle Introduction via zoom for new students)
- Saturday, 24.5.25, 10 am - 12.30 pm, Kurt-Wolters 5, room 1016
as well as a guest lecture: the time and place will be announced by the teacher.
Mandatory attendance: 75%
Online Teaching: Please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and a PC/laptop. Please wear either a head set with a microphone or earplugs with a microphone to avoid feedback and background noise. Active participation with audio and video (webcam switched on) is mandatory.
Your registration is binding. For course and exam participation, the examination regulations and the conditions of participation of the Language Center of the University of Kassel apply.
