Deregistration & withdrawal from examinations

In principle, the following applies:

Cancellation of written examinations is generally possible up to the day before the examination without giving reasons (General Provisions § 15, para. 2).

Deregistration from oral examinations or withdrawal from written examinations after this period has expired must be reported to the examination board immediately in writing and credibly justified, e.g. by means of a medical certificate (General Provisions § 15, Para. 3).

Missed examinations without withdrawal in due time or without credible justification will be assessed as "insufficient" (General Provisions § 15, Para. 1).

Deregistration deadlines in eCampus for written examinations

For written examinations, the deadline for deregistration is the day before the written examinations. The dates of the respective written examinations are listed in the course catalog.

Deregistration deadlines in eCampus for term papers e.g. (except for written examinations)

Deregistration in the winter semester 30 March via eCampus
Deregistration in the summer semester September 29 via eCampus
Deregistration after the deadline withdrawal according to § 15 AB Bachelor/Master only for good cause immediately and in writing via the examination office

Illness

In the event of withdrawal due to illness, a medical certificate must be submitted immediately to the examination office. Please note that certificates will only be accepted and processed in the ORIGINAL form (handed in during office hours, dropped in the mailbox or sent by post)! Please note your matriculation number, the subject and the course for which the certificate is valid on the certificate.
