Follow-me-printing

Our copying system allows you to print scanned documents as well as processed files via a central print server at any connected print/copy station. Copies and printouts in color are possible on most devices. The print job can be printed on the connected print/copy stations via the multifunction card up to 72h after sending - the job follows the card to the printer. It is possible to choose whether the accounting should be done via a cost center (staff) or via the internal wallet function. Paying for print jobs with cash is no longer possible.

The system is accessed via the campus network. Use from home via VPN is also possible.

You will need the QPilot client software from Schomäcker to use the multifunction devices in the network of the University of Kassel from your PC. You can find more information on the page: Information about the Q-Pilot software.

When printing with the QPilot client, you will be prompted to enter the card number (top left on the front of the card), after confirming, your job will be sent to the Q-Pilot server. If you enter your card into a card reader of a copier and select "Drucken/Print", you will get your stored print jobs displayed and you can output them to the printer. For very large print jobs, please note the transmission speed of 100MBit/s.

Ingeneral: You can only print a stored print job if you are in possession of the card with the matching number!
