The "Health and Social Affairs" working group emerged from the "Health and Welfare Infrastructure" working group and was reorganized in terms of personnel and content in 2023.

The spokespersons are Prof. Dr. Diana Auth (HS Fulda) and Prof. Dr. Alfons Hollederer (University of Kassel). In the working group, the health and social science expertise of the two universities is bundled and brought together with a view to the topic of "socially determined health inequality". The focus is particularly on the social determinants of various health phenomena and forms of health inequality.
