This course is taught exclusively in German.

Course content:
National and European landfill directives; geotechnical aspects of waste legislation; structural design and requirements for landfills; sealing systems; mechanical properties and material behavior of waste and incineration residues; calculations of landfill leachate pipes; settlements and safety verifications of landfills; exploration of contaminated sites; securing and remediation of contaminated sites using geotechnical methods, sealing walls, geosynthetic seals.
