This study aimed at exploring the progress of the Bologna Process in 46 European countries. It seeked to identify what lessons could be learned about the relationship between the action lines in the Bologna Process, achievement of its operational objectives especially in the areas of curriculum reform, quality assurance and recognition, and how all of this contributes to the strategic objectives of the Bologna Process, i.e. achieving a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and promoting the European system of higher education world-wide. INCHER-Kassel explored the impacts of these interrelated policies at transnational and national levels.
