At the University of Kassel, an employee survey on the organizational climate was conducted among all employees for the second time in 2019. As a strategic (change management) tool for improving the organizational climate, the survey assumes a diagnostic function and at the same time contains design elements for change processes. The employee survey offers an insight into the attractiveness of the university as an employer, employer branding, and the recruitment and retention of qualified technical and managerial staff, and thus supports the goals and success of the university. At the University of Kassel, the employee survey has proven to be a suitable instrument for obtaining feedback from employees on the organizational climate and in this way uncovering central and decentralized needs for action from their perspective and initiating sustainable, needs-oriented solutions.
Four broad-based projects in the fields of onboarding, leadership, career development and organizational culture were derived from the last survey in 2019.
