How to initiate admission restrictions

Admission restrictions

Admission restrictions may be imposed for degree programmes in which the number of applications significantly exceeds the available teaching capacities.

Information on the procedural steps for imposing admission restrictions can be found in the process description(in German).

Please see the list of programmes with admission restrictions for more details. If a study programme has no admissions restrictions, there is no quantitative limit on the number of enrollments. However specific requirements may apply for individual programmes (e. g. language skills, course-specific skills in sports, music or art programmes, minimum grades in the applicant's first degree).
