This time, the focus is on the social situation of students against the backdrop of the current energy crisis. In keeping with the motto "My university is doing something!" there will be a wide range of information and advisory services.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Braun, newly appointed holder of one of the corner professorships of the Kassel Institute for Sustainability, will give the keynote lecture "Sustainability Studies - Sustainable Studies - or how sustainable is a sustainability study?" in the evening. (6 p.m., Campus Center Foyer)."Through the Kassel Institute, the SDG+ Lab and the Green Office, the university is investing a lot to create solutions for a more sustainable everyday and economic life. But how sustainable are universities and studying itself actually? How big is the ecological footprint of studying?" asks Prof. Dr. Braun.

Afterwards, Angelica Gamarra and Tim Füller from SoLocal Energy e. V. will speak about the topic of poverty risk of students due to high energy prices. Svenja Quitsch (Scientists for Future) will contribute another keynote speech: "Hope in times of climate crisis: from knowledge to action."

The program will be accompanied by information booths: the Studierendenwerk will provide information about social counseling, the "Freitisch" or the "Nothilfe für geflüchtete Studierende". Free tea will also be served again. The Green Office will provide energy-saving tips and information about theCO2-optimized Campus project. The Building Department will be showing investments in energy-saving measures, with the money saved being reinvested in new energy-saving projects. SoLocal Energy will also be on site: the association connects people from Kassel and Northern Hesse to install balcony power plants in solidarity. Other information booths will be set up by AStA, Scientists for Future and the Kassel Tenants' Association.
