Moritzstraße closed from Monday

The work, which starts next week, is expected to last until the end of March 2024. For that long, the section of Moritzstraße that separates the northern part of the central campus from the rest will be closed to cars in both directions. Alternative routes run via Eisenschmiede or Kurt-Wolters-Strasse.

An extensive detour is posted for bicyclists. Those on foot will be able to use a sidewalk along the street, but restrictions are to be expected.

The reconstruction of Moritzstraße has been planned for some time. In the campus area, the street is to be given a square-like character. In this way, the two parts of the campus will be better connected. The roadway will be narrowed, and after the reconstruction, a speed limit of 20 km/h will apply.
