Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. Tasks:

The scope of duties includes services in research and teaching of the department "Chemistry of Mesoscopic Systems" and includes the independent execution of research on the synthesis of organic functional dyes and studies on their interaction with nanoparticles and light, as well as participation in events of the Nanostructure Research Center CINSaT and support of the department in supervising students in courses of the department.

 

Prerequisites:

  • University degree in chemistry with excellent grades and extensive practical experience in organic synthesis chemistry; alternatively, teaching degree in chemistry with completed 1st state examination and scientific term paper in the field of organic chemical synthesis.
  • Extensive experience in the synthesis of functional dyes is a prerequisite as well as the confident application of modern chemical-analytical methods (NMR, MS, UV/Vis, fluorescence).
  • computer skills (MS-Office, ChemDraw on Mac platform) are desirable, especially for web-based database searches
  • willingness and ability to work independently
  • good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • experience in supervising students and in guiding technical staff
