This is a fixed term-position of 6 month with the possibility of extending the contract (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG).

 

Tasks:

  • Services in research and teaching of the subject area. Key aspects within teaching will be the preparation and realization of lectures, seminars, supervisions, and tutorials in the Nanoscience and Chemistry (teaching degree) study programs
  • assistance in the realization of research projects (liquid crystal composites and inorganic-organic hybrids)
  • administrative tasks

 

Requirements:

  • completed course (excellent or very good success) of academic study (Master degree or diploma) within the field of Nanoscience, Chemistry, or a closely related field
  • Substantial knowledge of Physical Chemistry, Chemistry and/or Nanoscience
  • PhD in Chemistry, Nanoscience, or closely related field (inorganic-organic hybrids, liquid crystals, organic photonics, selforganization)
  • very good command of English language and scientific interest in interdisciplinary topics

 

Of advantage:

  • experience in liquid crystal research (composites, inorganic-organic hybrids, microscopy)
  • self-initiative and reliable way of working
  • experience in supervising students
  • organizing skills
