Experimental technician for the supervision of a permanent field trial on the Hessian state domain Frankenhausen (EG 11 TV-H)

Employment will initially be until 31.12.2020 as part of the project "Establishment of a long-term trial on organic farming at the Hessian State Domain Frankenhausen.

The work locations are Frankenhausen and Witzenhausen.

Tasks:

• Independent establishment, practical implementation and supervision as well as preparation of the evaluation of a long-term field trial on cultivation systems and fertilization in organic farming on the Hessian State Domain Frankenhausen
• Independent maintenance of the project website
• Organization and participation in courses and practical days in the context of the long-term trial
• Co-supervision of student projects and theses in the context of the long-term experiment
• Participation in the preparation of applications for the continuation of the long-term experiment

Requirements

• University degree (BSc.) in agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus on organic farming
• preferably extensive experience in agricultural experimentation (handling and maintenance of machinery, especially experimental technology)
• good knowledge of organic farming, especially organic crop production
• good knowledge of planning, setting up, conducting and evaluating field trials and, if possible
• physical resilience as a prerequisite for the practical implementation of trials
• Good GIS experience or willingness to familiarize yourself with it
• Good IT skills
• Driving license class B, E and T
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary manner.

Advantageous are

• preferably good knowledge of English
