W 2 - Qualification professorship with development commitment "Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Research: Didactics of French and Spanish" - in the Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies

In addition to teaching and research, the duties of the position include participation in the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB), supervision of student teachers in school internships and practical semesters, acquisition of third-party funds, participation in the university's committees and in academic self-administration, as well as participation in the interdisciplinary structures "ISW Languages" and "Bilingual Certificate Kassel". It is desirable to be involved in the PRONET network (Professionalization through Networking) within the framework of the Quality Offensive Teacher Education, in which the department participates.

In the course of the probationary phase, the future holder of the position is expected to further qualify himself/herself equally and comprehensively in the didactics of the two Romance languages in research and teaching. Applicants are asked to submit a two-page milestone concept for further subject didactic development in addition to the usual documents. During the qualification phase, the scope of teaching duties is reduced in favor of independent research (§ 64 Abs. 3 Satz 4 Hessisches Hochschulgesetz (HHG)).

A doctorate in Romance Studies with a grade of at least very good (magna cum laude) is a prerequisite for employment. A doctorate in the didactics of Spanish and/or French is desirable. Applications with doctorates in other Romance disciplines - preferably in Romance linguistics - are also welcome. In this case, it is desirable that further publications and lectures demonstrate an orientation towards subject didactic research topics. University teaching experience is also desirable. In addition, the provisions of § 62 para. 4 HHG apply, according to which at least three years of school experience must be proven. Furthermore, the hiring requirements and performance requirements according to § 64 HHG apply.

Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds is also desirable.
