Full-time position. This is a fixed term-position of three years with the possibility of extending the contract for a further two years (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; opportunity to pursue a post-doctoral degree).

 

Tasks:

  • independent research in that research area "Scientific Change" (including preparation for a post-doctoral degree)
  • coordination and advancement of the research area "Scientific Change" at INCHER-Kassel
  • independent application for research grants and supervision of projects in the research area "Scientific Change
  • teaching two semester hours per week in the area of higher education research

 

requirements:

  • university degree in the social or economic sciences
  • a Ph.D. in the social or economic sciences
  • profound competence in methods of empirical research in the social sciences and science studies (e.g., bibliometrics)
  • profound knowledge in research on higher education and the sciences
  • knowledge of academic procedures and structures
  • exceptional articulateness both orally and in writing
  • For the post-doc position experiences with international collaboration are desirable
