Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Theoretical Physics

The position is initially limited until 31.10.2020 and serves the scientific qualification following a doctorate (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG).

Tasks

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of quantum dynamics and control
• Independent work on a research subfield in ultrafast photoionization dynamics of chiral molecules and their coherent control
• Further development of the department's internal software for computer simulation of quantum dynamics and control

Prerequisites:

• PhD in theoretical physics or theoretical chemistry, preferably in the field of ultrafast phenomena and/or atomic and molecular physics
• University degree in physics or chemistry (Master) with at least good results

Advantageous are:

• Previous knowledge in the theoretical description of laser-induced dynamics in atoms and molecules
• Independent, thorough and meticulous work proven by publications in scientific journals, among others

• proven programming experience and experience in scientific computing
• a high degree of organizational skills
