Lecture: Diversity in the socio-spatial context - On the change of professional and civil social work through immigration

The joint project of the University of Applied Sciences Fulda and the University of Kassel deals on the one hand with the interactions between professional and civil society actors of social work with and by immigrants. It is about their patterns of action, working relationships and divisions, self-understandings and concepts of help among each other. On the other hand, it is about the relationship between civil society actors and immigrants. The goal here is to trace relationship concepts, help and, if necessary, friendship relationships, as well as to identify educational processes, especially with regard to a "migration-society solidarity".

Niki Edwards will present her experiences from the context of research with refugees in Australia. Manuela Westphal and Monika Alisch will present the approach and methodology of the research project ProZiS. In the format of a workshop, framework conditions, challenges and approaches to refugees as research participants will be highlighted from German and Australian perspectives.
