Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of organic agriculture and plant production

Part-time with 85.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited until 30.09.2020 (§ 2 Abs. 1 WissZeitVG).

Places of employment are Frankenhausen and Witzenhausen.

Tasks:

• Conception, supervision and evaluation of plant cultivation experiments.
• Conceptual development of the experimental system (digitalization, further development of technology in general)
• Organization of and cooperation in teaching events on the domain (field days)
• Supervision of student projects and theses
• Assumption of organizational tasks (e.g. preparation and follow-up as well as implementation of field days for science and practice)

Requirements:

• Completed scientific university studies (MSc) in the field of agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus on organic agriculture.
• Very good knowledge as well as practical experience in agricultural experimentation (crop production, handling and maintenance of machinery, especially also experimental techniques)
• Good knowledge in the field of planning, setting up, conducting and evaluating field trials
• Very good knowledge of organic farming
• Good knowledge of the software MiniGIS or willingness to learn it
• Driving license T, BE, B

• Ability to work in a team and willingness to work interdisciplinary
   

Advantageous are:

• Good knowledge of the English language
