Part-time position with 85.00 % of the working hours of a full-time employment. This is a fixed term-position of three years with the possibility of extending the contract for a further three years (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG; opportunity for PhD project).

 

Tasks:

  • Contributions to research and teaching at the chair of development and postcolonial studies, including teaching in the English-language Master Global Political Economy and Development
  • Independent work on a research project on a corresponding topic

 

Requirements:

  • Completed course of academic study (Master degree) in one of these three fields: Development Studies, Post-colonial Studies, Global Political Economy, completed with very good results
  • good knowledge of the other two areas
  • teaching experience
  • very good proficiency in English
  • good proficiency in German OR willingness to learn German to a level of proficiency that enables teaching university courses within two years
