Part-time with half of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is until 30.09.2020 according to § 2 Abs. 1 WissZeitVG. Places of employment are Witzenhausen and Frankenhausen.

 

 

Tasks:

  • Conception, supervision and evaluation of plant cultivation experiments.
  • Conducting courses in the field of sustainability assessment and crop production 
  • Organization and collaboration in teaching events on the domain (field days)
  • Supervision of student projects and theses
  • Taking over organizational tasks (e.g. preparation and follow-up as well as realization of field days for science and practice)

 

Requirements or expectations of the applicant:

  • Completed scientific university studies (MSc) with a degree in agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus on organic agriculture.
  • Very good knowledge as well as practical experience in agricultural experimentation (crop production, handling and maintenance of machinery, especially also experimental technology)
  • Good knowledge in the field of planning, setting up, conducting and evaluating field trials
  • Very good knowledge of organic farming
  • Driving license B
  • Ability to work in a team and willingness to work interdisciplinary
     

Advantageous are:

  • Good knowledge of the English language
