Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 3 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of habilitation is given.

Tasks:

• Academic collaboration in research and teaching (4 SWS) in the field of international agricultural policy and environmental governance, application for third-party funding on governance in agriculture, governance of agricultural and environmental relations, resource use or organic farming and critical analysis of the same.
• Independent development and processing of a research sub-area in international agricultural policy and environmental governance

Prerequisites:

• University degree with very good to good grades in agricultural sciences (social science focus), economics, political science, geography, knowledge of institutional analysis and socio-ecological systems research.
• Relevant doctorate completed with very good to good results in the above-mentioned field
• Research interest in the above-mentioned field of the subject area
• Teaching experience
• Fluent in English and German
• Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding
• Team player with own initiative, experience in coordinating groups

Advantageous are:

• Good knowledge of agricultural, environmental or resource economics and European and international agricultural and environmental policy
• Relevant experience with quantitative, qualitative, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research methods
• Interest in researching alternative agricultural production systems and/or organic farming
