The Department of Metrology conducts research in the field of optical precision metrology, in particular interferometry with camera-based and fiber-coupled sensors. Numerous R&E projects have resulted in complex measurement systems that will be operated and successively expanded over the long term.

 

Tasks:

Independent preparation, set-up and execution of experiments - the processing of which requires special technical knowledge and special practical experience - with the devices and systems of the Measurement Technology FG; handling of modern, computer-based measurement technology, in particular the set-up, calibration and computer-aided recording of measurement data as well as the evaluation, processing and presentation of the data with the aid of the available laboratory software; system and software administration in the Measurement Technology FG including the department's own network; administration of the department's websites; participation in procurement processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university studies (Bachelor) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or physics.
  • Experience with modern electrical and optical measurement technology is desired
