Technical Assistant (m/f/d), EG 9 TV-H - in the Department of Technical Physics

Full-time; The employment is to replace an employee during maternity leave and is initially limited until 18.06.2019 (§§ 40 No. 8, 30 TV-H in conjunction with § 21 BEEG). An extension for the duration of any parental leave is sought.

Tasks:

• Assisting in the development of new structuring and device manufacturing processes using lithography, etching and deposition processes; taking over standard processes after appropriate instruction.
• Independent supervision of physical/technical equipment and machines in the field of semiconductor technology. In particular, co-responsible for the operation and maintenance of coating, etching and optical lithography equipment as well as electro-optical measuring equipment; maintenance of vacuum equipment, cooling water or process gas supplies
• Procurement, management and disposal of chemicals, technical gases and consumables used in the field of semiconductor technology. Proportionate assistance in the organization of clean room operations
• Collaboration on technical level to support the research tasks of the department in the EU project "MOICANA" (tasks in the field of process development and material and nanostructure characterization).

Requirements:

• Completed training as a CTA.
• Ability to independently organize the assigned tasks
• Responsible handling of particularly valuable substrates as well as working materials associated with hazards
• Ability to follow work instructions (also in English) from original scientific literature
• Basic PC knowledge

Advantageous are:

• Special knowledge in the field of vacuum technology and semiconductor process technology
• Experience in handling chemicals and technical gases and observance of the relevant regulations as well as the hazardous substances ordinances
