Research Assistant (m/f/d) EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Environmental and Behavioral Economics

Part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially fixed-term for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years as part of the BMBF project "Fishing under the threat of a tipping point - A full-cycle, multi-methods approach to the Lake Victoria Nile perch fishery" (MultiTip) (§ 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks

• Scientific and independent collaboration in the above-mentioned project

Requirements:

• University degree in economics or related sciences with at least good grades
• Knowledge in the field of environmental economics and/or behavioral economics, proven for example by a thesis in these fields
• Knowledge of econometrics, demonstrated by relevant courses
• Interest in and willingness to travel to Lake Victoria in East Africa
• Very good English language skills

An advantage is

• Knowledge in the areas of fisheries and tipping points in ecological systems
• Knowledge in the field of experimental economic research
• Thorough and independent working methods
• a high degree of organizational skills and ability to work in a team
• experience in using statistical software such as Stata or EViews
