Scientific assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of animal husbandry in the tropics and subtropics

Part-time with 65.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited for 5 months (§ 2 Abs. 1 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Independent teaching in English in the field of "In situ quantification of animal-environment interactions" and conducting student internships on this topic (2.6 SWS).
• Independently evaluate, statistically analyze and interpret data on dairy cattle feeding in South Indian family farms and prepare a scientific manuscript in English.

Prerequisites:

• University degree (MSc) in general agricultural science with emphasis on livestock science completed with excellent results;
• Experience in practical field research with ruminants;
• At least 1.5 years of research experience in countries of the Global South;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English;
• Excellent knowledge of spreadsheet and statistical programs;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advantages include:
