Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of programming languages/methodology

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of programming languages/methodology (e.g., presentation of research results at conferences, collaboration in the application of research projects, tutorial "Algorithms and Data Structures", supervision of student project work).
• PhD in parallel programming (e.g., task-based parallel programming, productivity of parallel programming systems, program-level fault tolerance).

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree in computer science completed with above-average success.
• Very good oral and written expression skills in German, good English skills.

Advantageous are:

• In-depth knowledge of programming languages, algorithm design and parallel programming (e.g. MPI, OpenMP, PGAS languages)
• Determined, thorough and independent way of working
• First teaching experience, e.g. through tutoring activities
