Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of Control and Systems Theory

The position is initially limited for 2 years with the possibility of extension (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Your tasks:

The objective of the job is to develop control and process control strategies for additive manufacturing. Based on data analysis of existing manufacturing processes using the principle of 3D printing, optimization-based methods are to be designed that can reliably adjust target properties of the manufactured products. The research activities, which are located at the interface between control engineering, manufacturing technology and materials science, also serve to further academic qualification through the doctorate. In addition, an appropriate amount of research and teaching services are required in the area of control and systems theory.

Your Requirements:

• Completed academic university studies in engineering with a focus on modeling, control, and feedback control of dynamic systems.
• Willingness to learn the concepts of additive manufacturing
• Significantly above average study results
• Good knowledge of the English and German language
• Strong initiative and willingness to work on your own initiative
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
• Experience in data-based modeling, materials science or additive manufacturing is an advantage
